Professor Hans Bachor is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. He is also Emeritus Professor of Physics at the Australian National University where he established Australia’s research into experimental quantum optics. He has trained and mentored many young scientists who now lead successful research teams around the world. As Questacon’s mind in residence he is deeply committed to science communication inspiring the next generations of scientists, leaders and thinkers. He sees science not just as a body of knowledge but as a way of asking questions, exploring ideas and finding wonder in the world around us. He is passionate about telling great science stories to audiences of all ages.
